"Dot Dot Floral" Wall Piece

I am a part of a group exhibition Mesmerize curated by Merrie Wright which is currently on display at the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts in Spring, TX.  This was my chance to make a wall piece that has been stirring in my mind for quite a while.

the wall is 10' x 24'. Each plate is thrown porcelain, 7" diameter, decorated with thermofax screen-printing and stenciling, and iron oxide decals.

I have a bunch of people to thank for helping me with this project: Rain Harris, Jacquie Franden, Elina Jurado, Colin Ziha, Shellie Kacillas, Amy Santoferraro, Tom Binger, and George Timock.

if you're in Kansas City and you haven't tried fevere bread - well then, you're missing out - get to it! i used to eat their delicious breads until i found out i was celiac. :( now i just enjoy the smell of them.

floss or else.

this week in studio i made a round of cavity tumblers. this was the first week of having a studio intern (oo la la!) and she did a fabulous job helping me press out the molars...and put them in a lovely arrangement to boot!

when these suckers are all done, they may look like these bad boys.
